Ne-Yo and Paul Wall to headline the Spring Jam on Friday, April 14th at 7:00 pm. The event will also feature Bubba Sparxxx, Lil Rob, Nynewest, and local favorites Arcturus of Mad Ro and Audiology.
Ne-Yo’s debut solo release “In My Own Words” has propelled him to No. 1 on The Billboard 200. His single “So Sick”, currently No. 1 on The Billboard 100, is a smooth ballad lamenting the loss of love. Ne-Yo is also an accomplished songwriter. He has written hit songs for Mary J. Paul Wall was already well known as a DJ, rapper and promoter in Houston’s indie Hip Hop scene before his part on Mike Jones’ hit “Still Tippin’” got him national attention. His current release “The People’s Champ” includes his hit single “Sittin’ Sideways”. Other hits include album “Chick Magnet”, which hit The Billboard Top 100 Hip Hop/R&B; in 2004. Bubba Sparxxx also hails from the Southern Hip Hop scene. His newest album “The Charm”, which is on Outkast’s Big Boi’s label Purple Ribbon Records, is due to hit stores April 4. His debut album “Dark Days, Bright Nights” included the hit single “Ugly”. People may remember the video with him in overalls on a tractor.
