Pink Day 2005!

“Pink Day 2005! Presented by Albertsons,” an educational women’s health and wellness fair promoting healthy living and healthy lifestyles for women, will kickoff the 2005 Race for the Cure season and benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation. This event will take place on April 2nd, from 10:00am – 4:00pm at Taco Bell Arena.

Mingle through fifty plus exhibition booths providing information about breast cancer prevention, healthy lifestyle choices, and other women’s services.

Laura Day, one of the stars of TLC’s highly popular shows “Trading Spaces” and “Trading Spaces: Family,” will be a special Pink Day guest speaker. Her lecture will last from 11:00am until 12:00pm. An autograph session will follow from 12:00pm until 1:00pm at the Albertsons booth.

Pink Day marks the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation’s seventh anniversary of the Race for the Cure season in Boise. The Susan G. Komen Foundation’s mission is to eradicate breast cancer as a life threatening disease through research, education, screening and treatment. The foundation will be offering a $7.00 discount off of the $22.00 “Race for the Cure” registration fee for those who register for the race at Pink Day.

Children are welcome; there will be an interactive children’s play area with free face painting, games and a jump house.
