Harlem Ambassadors vs. Boise City Police Department
August 30, 2004
BOISE, Idaho- Taco Bell Arena announces the “Harlem Ambassadors” vs. Boise City Police Department in a fundraising event benefiting Special Olympics of Idaho.
The team of men is uniquely led by the only female player/coach, Ladè Majic, the “Queen of Show Basketball”.
It’s not your Grandfather’s basketball show. The event will be packed with high-flying slam dunks, dazzling ball handling and comedy routines
The Boise City Police Department will be the opponent for the basketball show; the Harlem Ambassadors do not travel with a pre-selected opponent or a choreographed show. Competing against a new opponent every night creates an Ambassadors show that is loaded with spontaneous improvisational humor.
Special Olympics of Idaho is a non-profit organization that provides training and athletic competition in 14 Olympic-type sports, year-round and free of charge to over 1,800 children and adults with intellectual disabilities throughout the state of Idaho.
