Boise State University Student Programs Board Presents “Lifehouse”

Taco Bell Arena – Lifehouse will perform their sentimental and smoothed-out melodies at the Arena on October 7th at 8:00pm. Their single “You and Me” is currently #10 on The Billboard Hot 100 and is nominated for “Choice Love Song” by Teen People magazine for their Teen Choice Awards. Lifehouse, a pop/rock post-grunge, is no stranger to the charts as their single “Hanging by a Moment” was the most played radio track of 2001.

“You and Me,” is featured on their third album, “Lifehouse,” released in January 2005, which was produced by “Dave Matthews” band producer John Alagia. The combination of talent has propelled “You and Me” to the top of the charts including Apple iTunes list of most downloaded rock songs. Lifehouse performed on NBC The Tonight Show with Jay Leno this past week.

Their debut album “No Name Face” became an instant hit with the single “Hanging by a Moment.” With this first hit, Lifehouse held the #2 spot on The Billboard Hot 100 and the Top 10 of the Mainstream Rock Tracks list. The video for “Hanging by a Moment” earned a place on MTV’s “Total Request Live” and was the single most-played video on VH1 for six straight weeks.

The sudden success of “No Name Face” inspired the band to step back inside the studio where they released the follow-up album “Stanley Climbfall” in the spring and summer of 2002. “Stanley Climbfall” featuring another hit single, “Spin.” The band has touring with such groups as Matchbox 20, Pearl Jam and Everclear. Their thick sound has often compared to Live and Matchbox 20.
