Capitol recording artist and comedian Rodney Carrington will be appearing Friday, September 23 at 9:00pm.

Rodney Carrington is now a household name with his new hit primetime sitcom “Rodney” but his loyal fans will be pleased to know it will be his adult slapstick in-your-face comedy and songs that will be showcased during his live, stand-up show. Rodney Carrington has built a cult following with his no-holds barred stand-up that includes comedy and music about the funny side of redneck lifestyles, ugly women at bars, men acting like men and oddball sex.

Carrington gained massive exposure from his appearances on syndicated morning radio shows like “Bob and Tom” and “John Boy and Billy”. His often hilarious crude songs like “Don’t Look Now”, “Letter To My Penis”, “Little Things”, and “Fred” have kept his fans new and old coming back for more. His latest album, “Greatest Hits”, a two-disc retrospective set featuring his most famous stand-up bits and songs from his “Nut Sack”, “Morning Wood” and “Hangin’ with Rodney” albums has maintained a top ten position after 72 weeks on the comedy charts.

Carrington joined the ABC lineup in the fall of 2004 with his critically acclaimed sitcom, “Rodney”. Carrington says the show is “geared toward Middle America, and it’s reflective of the people and situations I’ve encountered throughout my life and career”. The Dallas Morning News has hailed, “Rodney” as “…the sleeper comedy hit of the season…a watchable, quick-on-the-draw laughter”. The season finale of “Rodney” attracted 8.1 million viewers and ranked #3 in its time period. “Rodney” airs locally at 8:30pm on KIVI 6 On Your Side.
