Construction Detours:
January – Fall 2016

The Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) is replacing the Broadway Bridge over the Boise River. The current bridge is over 50 years old and needs to be rebuilt.

The new Broadway Bridge will meet the current and future needs of our community. Read more about the planned improvements and need for the project.

What to Expect During Construction

  • Broadway Avenue is closed in both directions from Cesar Chavez Lane to Myrtle Street.
  • Motorists are detoured to the Parkcenter Boulevard Bridge.
  • Greenbelt detours are clearly marked.
  • Crews are working 24/7. Some work, such as pile driving, will be very noisy.
  • Business access will remain open.
  • Lane restrictions will be in place between Myrtle and Front streets while crews repave and improve this section of Broadway Avenue.
