Ceremony Timeline

  • Public doors open one hour prior to the start of each ceremony.
  • The ceremony will last approximately two and a half hours (dependent on the number of graduates).

Driving Directions from Interstate 84 to Boise State University
From Interstate 84: Take Broadway Ave. (Exit #53) and proceed north on Broadway Ave. Turn west (left) on Beacon St. Turn north (right) on Lincoln Ave.

 

Driving Directions from I-184 the Connector to Boise State University
From I-184 the Connector: Take I-184 the Connector to City Center (which becomes Myrtle St.). Turn south (right) on 9th St. (9th St. becomes Capitol Blvd.). Turn east (left) on University Dr.

 

Driving Directions from Boise State University to Interstate 84
From Boise State University: Proceed west (right) on University Dr. and follow University Dr. to the intersection of University Drive and Capitol Blvd. Turn south (left) on Capitol Blvd. (Capitol Blvd becomes Vista Ave.). Follow Vista Ave. to Interstate 84.

 

Parking

**Patrons with accessible needs are encouraged to arrive early to secure accessible seats for themselves and companions. 

Taco Bell Arena encourages patrons to allow at least 45 minutes to park and access Taco Bell Arena.

Parking will be available one hour prior to the ceremony in the following locations:

  • Accessible parking will be available in the “West Stadium Lot” located on the corner of University Dr. and Bronco Cr.
  • Patron parking will be available in the “Lincoln Garage” located on the corner of University Dr. and Lincoln Ave. and the “East Stadium Lot” located on the corner of University Dr. and Grant Ave.
  • Graduate parking will be available in the “West Stadium Lot.” Graduates are asked to enter the lot via Bronco Circle.
  • Parking lots must clear by one hour after the end of the ceremony.

 

Accessible Information

  • Designated parking is available for guests with accessible needs. These spaces are reserved for vehicles displaying a current state-issued accessible placard or license plate. As accessible spaces are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, please plan accordingly.
  • Complimentary Assistive Listening Devices are available. Please see any Guest Services staff member to request an Assistive Listening Device.
  • Taco Bell Arena is equipped with elevators that access all public areas of the arena. If you require assistance in reaching your seat, please see any Guest Services staff member.
  • When requested, Taco Bell Arena Guest Services staff can provide complimentary wheelchair escorts. Wheelchair escorts are available at Entrances 1 and 2.
  • Elevators are located inside Entrances 1 and 2.
  • All restroom facilities at Taco Bell Arena will accommodate guests with accessible needs.

 

Entry

  • Public Entrances: Entrances 1 and 2 will be open for the ceremony
  • Graduate Entrance: All Graduates are asked to enter at Entrance 4. Entrance 4 is located on the north side of the building between Chaffee Hall and the Appleton Tennis Center.

 

Concessions
Light concessions will be available for purchase inside the Arena.

  • All concessions stands accept cash, Visa and/or MasterCard.

 

Cell Phone Etiquette
As a courtesy to those around you, please put all cell phones on silent and refrain from cell phone use. If cell phone use is necessary, please exit to a lobby to use your phone.

 

Post Ceremony Graduate Meeting Area

Graduates can be met after the ceremony in the patio area located on the north side of the building between Taco Bell Arena and Chaffee Hall. Patrons are encouraged to exit out of Entrance 1 for the fastest access to this graduate meeting location.

 

Prohibited Items:

  • bottles
  • cans
  • coolers
  • Outside alcohol of any type
  • outside food or beverages
  • laser pointers, weapons or anything deemed a threat to public safety
  • fireworks
  • air horns
  • cowbells or noisemakers of any type
  • controlled substances
  • backpacks, large bags or packages of any kind (including gifts for performers)
  • video recorders, audio recorders, or other similar electronic devices
  • Laptops, any type of personal computers, and tablets (i.e. iPads, TouchPads, etc.)
  • Purses and diaper bags are permitted and will be inspected by security
  • binoculars and cell phones are permitted and subject to security inspection
  • No professional cameras. 4” detachable lens or less
  • any other item deemed unacceptable by Taco Bell Arena security or management

 

Taco Bell Arena is not restricted to or limited to these items and management reserves the right to handle each occurrence on a case-by-case basis. Depending on the item, the patron may either be asked to remove the item from the facility, dispose of the item, may be denied entrance or be ejected from the facility.

 

Each show / event has a specific outline for prohibited items and their own unique set of rules written into their contracts. Changes to prohibited items are subject to change without notice at any time and at the discretion of Taco Bell Arena Management. It will be the patron’s responsibility to establish clarification on these items specific to the event at The Taco Bell Arena Website or calling (208) 426-1900.
